From today (Monday 11 March 2024), overseas care workers and senior care workers coming to the UK will no longer be able to bring dependants with them as part of their visa application. We want to inform you of an important update regarding visa regulations for overseas care workers and senior care workers coming to the UK., These are changes in policy regarding dependants accompanying care workers and senior care workers as part of their visa application process.

Key Points:

Visa Applications: As of the mentioned date, new visa applications will no longer allow for the inclusion of dependants.

Alternative Routes: Dependents of care workers and senior care workers must now seek alternative routes, such as applying for separate visas and securing their own sponsorship.

Current Care Workers: Care workers and senior care workers who are already in the UK under this visa route will be able to continue residing with their dependants. This includes scenarios such as extending their stay, changing employers (within the relevant SOC codes), and settling in the UK.

Transitional Arrangements: Those care workers and senior care workers who were in the visa route prior to the immigration rule change but haven't yet brought dependants will still have the opportunity to do so during their sponsorship period.
