“Dependents of overseas care workers and senior care workers can no longer travel to the UK on new visa applications"
From today (Monday 11 March 2024), overseas care workers and senior care workers coming to the UK will no longer be able to bring dependants with them as part of their visa application.

In December 2023, The Flame Lily Healthcare Limited underwent a focused inspection by the Care Quality Commission. The inspection primarily revolved around the key areas of safety, effectiveness, and leadership. We are thrilled to report that no evidence was found to indicate that our service users were at risk of harm in any of these areas. This positive outcome is a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality care, particularly for individuals with complex conditions, brain injuries, mental health challenges, and neurological conditions.

Here is a picture of what will happen when you get COVID-19 and fail to do a test and receive early care. Between 2 and 14 days after exposure to the virus, you will experience fever, fatigue, a dry cough, and loss of appetite. You will also have body aches, shortness of breath, and production of mucus or phlegm.

The Flame Lily is pleased to announce its partnership with Independent Care Solutions (ICS UK). As a response to COVID-19, we are running an initiative to help provide vulnerable groups with safe and convenient accommodation.

Key Headlines: 1. We encourage healthcare workers to download the NHS COVID-19 app to help the fight against coronavirus

2. We recommend that healthcare workers use the ‘pause’ contact tracing function on the app when they are in healthcare buildings including, hospitals and GP surgeries

3. Healthcare workers can still use some of the app’s functionality whilst the app contact tracing feature is paused, should they wish, like when checking in to canteens

Please note, this information relates only to antibody testing. Antibody testing is separate from weekly swab retesting and outbreak testing by PHE. It is vital we continue swab retesting of all staff and residents in care homes.
