How The Flame Lily Healthcare Created Unforgettable Experiences for Our Supported Living Service Users, Summer 2025

At The Flame Lily Healthcare, we believe that every person we support deserves a life filled with joy, dignity, independence, and experiences that go far beyond routine care. This past summer, our Supported Living team at Hope House created an unforgettable holiday that truly reflected the values we stand for: compassionate support, personalised care, community inclusion, and the CQC’s Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture. As a leading provider of supported living services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex behaviours, we are committed to creating meaningful moments that improve wellbeing and empower people to live with greater confidence and fulfilment.

In July, our team organised a five-day holiday to Butlins Minehead Resort, giving our service users the chance to enjoy a vibrant, carefully planned getaway where their choices shaped every part of the experience. From the moment we began the planning process—developing holiday itineraries, completing risk assessments, securing personalised consent, and ensuring all reasonable adjustments were in place—the wellbeing and safety of our service users remained our top priority. This is the standard of excellence that defines The Flame Lily Healthcare and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality supported living where independence and enjoyment sit at the heart of what we do.

The holiday itself was everything we hoped it would be. Each day began with familiar routines—personal care, breakfast, and gentle preparation—before service users enjoyed a variety of enjoyable activities such as guided walks around Minehead, circus shows, bingo, live entertainment, beach visits, funfair rides, and shared meals that brought everyone closer together. These activities were not only fun; they were meaningful. They supported confidence building, encouraged social interaction, and gave each person the opportunity to make their own decisions while being supported in a way that respected their autonomy and individuality.

Our staff were exceptional throughout the trip—professional, compassionate, and fully engaged in ensuring every moment was safe, structured, and enjoyable. They assisted with personal care, mobility, meals, emotional reassurance, community participation, and all aspects of daily living, while constantly promoting dignity and independence. Their dedication brought the spirit of The Flame Lily Healthcare to life: safe, high-quality, person-centred care delivered with warmth and respect.

This holiday was a beautiful reminder of the importance of creating meaningful experiences for the people we support. It showcased the impact of good planning, strong relationships, family involvement, and a positive care culture. As we continue to expand our supported living services across Wolverhampton and the West Midlands, we remain committed to helping individuals live rich, fulfilled lives where choice, compassion, and community are at the centre.

Now, as we look ahead to Christmas, we carry the warmth of those summer memories with us. The joy, the laughter, the sense of belonging—these moments inspire us to continue delivering exceptional supported living services all year round.
